News from
Us...
This has been a summer
of extreme heat and extreme health problems at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock
Show.
First, Cheryl Imel,
Secretary here in the office, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer.
She has been fighting this with chemotherapy and is scheduled for
Radiation starting September 6 at MD Anderson.
Second, Sam Magee,
General Manager of the Show was told Friday, August 26 there was a mass in his
left kidney and spots on a lung. He is going to MD Anderson on
September 6 for an initial consultation and to determine what to do
next.
We would like to plan a benefit for
them, but with Cheryl being gone for 5 ½ weeks and Sam not knowing what is in
store for him, we feel this is the best at this time. Now, our
dear Livestock Show friends, the reason for this email is to ask for some help
for our co-worker and boss. Travel is a burden with gas prices
where they are at and insurance deductibles are high also in order for monthly
premiums to remain affordable. If you decide you would like to help,
please make your checks payable to THE IMEL MAGEE
FUNDRAISING so it can be applied where it is most needed. You
may mail to:
